Cool streak of weather finally over as highs warm above average most of this week
A long lasting cool streak of weather in southeast Wisconsin is finally over! Highs on Sunday climbed to 75 degrees and the average high dropped to 74 making it our first fully above average high temperature day since the middle of August.
The last time we saw high temperatures above average in Milwaukee was August 16th when we hit 86 degrees. That makes it 28 straight days of at or below average highs. Two days during that streak were right at average including August 22nd when we hit 80 and this past Saturday when we hit 75.
Now that our cool streak and nice taste of fall is over, we will see highs above average most of the upcoming work week with highs hovering around 80 degrees most of this week. Right now Wednesday looks like the warmest day in the low 80s. Then we drop back down below average by the end of the week into the low 70s.
After a round of rain this past weekend, we have seen the humidity levels increase. Some noticeable humidity will stay with us most of this week with dew points hovering around 60 or in the low 60s through at least Wednesday.
