Country Star Dustin Lynch Previews New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash
MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- Country Star Dustin Lynch joined the CBS 58 Morning News to preview the upcoming celebration on CBS called New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash.
Lynch spoke with morning anchor Alex Corradetti about his role in the event.
Expect performances from Keith Urban, Kane Brown and Jelly Roll live from the Bicentennial Mall stage. The special airs on Tuesday, December 31st (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT, 10:30 PM-1:30 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).*
The five-hour star-studded entertainment special will air across multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight, ET, culminating with the renowned Nashville music note drop and fireworks at midnight CT.
Lynch said he's excited to be involved again and hopes viewers will tune in for all the fun. The country star told CBS 58 that he's had a favorite song to perform for a while now.
"It's consistently been Cowboys and Angels. It's because I wrote that song about my grandparents love story. So, it's got a lot of personal weight, and I like thinking about them every night from the stage," said Lynch.
He also tells us there are a lot of exciting things planned for his own music in the next year.
"We are going to have another great year of touring on the back side of having some new music. We are doing a lot of fun collaborations right now and actually have a DJ set that is taking off. That's taking us to a lot of venues playing a lot of the nightlife clubs in Vegas, Miami and Toronto and hopefully coming to New York to do that too," explained Lynch.
Dustin Lynch has "built one of the most consistent recording careers in modern country music” (Billboard), achieving 10 #1s; four Top 5 albums; 10 GOLD, PLATINUM, and MULTI-PLATINUM certified singles; and tallying over 4.4 BILLION cumulative global streams. His sixth studio album Killed The Cowboy (BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville), featuring #1 “Chevrolet (feat. Jelly Roll),” is currently making a statement. The follow-up to Blue In The Sky, which delivered the history-making 2X PLATINUM, six-week #1 “Thinking ‘Bout You (feat. MacKenzie Porter)” – the most-played song at Country radio in 2022 landing at #1 on the Mediabase and #2 on the Billboard Year-End Country Airplay charts – also featured hit singles: #1 “Stars Like Confetti” and “Party Mode.” Lynch has headlined packed venues to sold-out crowds like his latest KILLED THE COWBOY TOUR, in addition to touring with Country’s biggest names including Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton. Since his PLATINUM breakout “Cowboys and Angels” in 2012, the Tennessee native has earned industry recognition as a Grand Ole Opry member, as well as high-profile nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and CMT Music Awards.
