CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There is a new space for artists to grow and show off their work in Milwaukee County.
Task opened Friday on Grange Avenue in Cudahy.
It will serve as a creative space for artists of any medium to strengthen their portfolio in an open, supportive workspace.
The studio will offer short-term rental space for any artist that needs it, including for performance, sculpture, photography and more.
The space can also be used for installations and art shows.
Task also includes a work area with a screen-printing station and other tools.
Task's owner, Amy Cannestra, is a contemporary artist herself.
While it's a dream to have her own studio, she also wants to help artists in the Milwaukee area grow and thrive.
"I don't always need the space, but when I need space, I need a lot of space. So, why not share it and make it something that I can use, but also give back to my fellow artists and emerging artists," Cannestra said.
For more information, head to Task's website.
