Man dead in arson fire near 29th and Bobolink, woman arrested in connection

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Firefighters and police were at the scene of a fatal arson house fire near 29th and Bobolink Tuesday night, July 11.

According to Deputy Chief Travis Jones, the fire was located on the second floor of a two-and-a-half story building.

During search and rescue operations, firefighters located a 60-year-old man who was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Anthony Winters of Milwaukee. 

According to Milwaukee police, a 62-year-old woman was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing; however, this appears to be domestic-violence related. 

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
