Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: $5K reward now offered to catch Winfred Jackson's killer

NOW: Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: $5K reward now offered to catch Winfred Jackson’s killer

NEXT:

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Winfred Jackson, an 18-year-old, was found dead in Washington Park five months ago. Now, the community has come together to make the reward for his killer(s) arrest even bigger by partnering with Milwaukee Crime Stoppers to offer $5,000 to the person who comes forward.

"We want to get this criminal off the streets. Because you know the way he did it, he shot him multiple times and threw him in the river. That’s like throwing a dog in the river," said Debra Jackson, victim's step mother.

Winfred Jackson's parents say before he was killed on March 17, he was planning to join the army, but that was cut short. They're hoping someone comes forward to help give them closure and the community peace of mind.

"What would it mean for someone to come forward and say what they know through Crime Stoppers? It would mean the world to me to put this thing to rest. It's been five months and it still seems like yesterday," said Winfred Samuels Sr., victim's father. "Somebody knows something and we would really appreciate help because this same person is out here and he could do this to somebody else's child."

Call 414-224-TIPS if you know anything about this homicide. You can also use the P3 Tips App. Both ways are anonymous. Again, there's a $5,000 reward if your tip leads to an arrest.
