MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A father of four, gunned down just weeks after welcoming a new baby.

This was one of four deadly shootings in Milwaukee that happened on the same day.

Arnez Rogers was engaged to be married and spoke to his mother every single day.

She says she knew something happened the night of Aug. 23. That's when he was shot in an alley near 36th and Hadley.

There were multiple shooters, and one of them shot him with a high-powered fully automatic weapon.

People nearby called 911 after hearing the gunfire, and stopped to help Rogers.

Some of the homicide was caught on video, but Rogers' family needs your help.

Detectives don't know what led up to this shooting, and need someone who saw the shooting to come forward.

"It's a shame that a young man who was the father of four kids, just had a baby, engaged, was gunned down in our community and someone did so using a high-powered rifle," said MPD Detective RoseMarie Galindo. "It's not something we should get used to as citizens in Milwaukee, it's not something we should just take as it happens every day, this is not something we should accept as normal."

If you know anything about who killed 31-year-old Arnez Rogers, call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS.

You can also submit a tip through the P3 Tips app.

And remember, saying what you know about a crime is not snitching. It's holding people accountable that are hurting your community and giving families who've lost loved ones justice.

When you come forward, you don't give any information about yourself, and there's no way to track you.

If your tip leads to an arrest, you'll get a cash reward.
