A Half and Half Weekend on the Way with Some Rain
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Imagine sitting in the car in front of your house, and all of a sudden someone shoots you and your pets. It happened to a Milwaukee man this week, and now police need your help to find out who did it.Â
It was the middle of the day on Monday, Oct. 12, police say the 43-year-old was sitting in his car near 5th and Chambers. His two dogs were in the car with him.Â
Police say bullets pierced through his windows, hitting both the man and one of his dogs in the neck.Â
"The victim in this case doesn't appear to have been doing anything nefarious, and we don't believe he was the intended target. We've seen this again and again play out far too often in our city, particularly this year, in what has kind of been an unprecedented year of violence I think we can all agree," said Milwaukee Police Department Captain Craig Sarnow,Â
The victim is doing OK, but the dog is struggling to survive.Â
