Department of Transportation Completes Change of Signs

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation completed the change from 65 mph to 70 mph along two segments of highway in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Signs along US 12 and US 45 went up Monday.
WIS 16 in Waukesha County will be changed over at the completion of the ongoing road construction projects.
This is the second phase of the conversion from 65 to 70 mph along certain portions of the highway system here in Wisconsin. The first phase covered the Interstate System. Once the signs have been posted motorist are allowed to travel at the new speed limit.
The segments with the new posted limits meet certain safety standards including limited access points and grade separated interchanges.
As always the posted speeds are for ideal driving conditions and motorist are reminded to drive at speeds appropriate for the conditions they are driving.
