The return of low clouds and fog have kept temperature in check today, but they're still above normal for this time of year.

Fog will redevelop tonight and could create slick spots going into Monday morning as temps drop below freezing in most places tonight.

Going into today, Milwaukee continues to experience its warmest year to date with last year not far behind. You may remember last year was our warmest year on record.

Temps will remain above normal through the end of the year with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s, but an arctic cold front will move through New Years Eve night. Arctic air will spill in behind this front with highs dropping into the low 20s by the end of the week. It'll feel even colder than that as the wind will be blustery.

An even colder push of air arrives in about ten days. Below average temps are favored throughout the start of January.

There won't be much precipitation over the next week, but a few light rain/snow showers are possible on Tuesday as a low pressure system tracks by to our south.
