MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- All this teddy bear wants is to get back home.
"This little guy was found on Jan. 4 on Concourse D," said Stephanie Buczkowski, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
And for right now, the bear is hanging out with its best friend Violet, a purple stuffed monkey.
Their posts are getting thousands of shares on social media.
"We haven't been closer to finding the owner yet but the shares, we think, are helping, we feel like we're getting close," Buczkowski said.
This isn't the first stuffed bear or animal left behind at the airport, but this one is getting a lot of love here and on social media. Not only is it cute, but many people have pointed out the significance of this stitched-up red heart on its chest.
"Thanks to the wonderful social media response we've had, we learned that it's a bear that's given to children with congenital heart defects, and also children who undergo open heart surgery," Buczkowski said.
Some of other lost stuffed animals have been returned, so there is hope.
And airport staff hope more families continue to travel through Milwaukee.
"A lot of items do end up in the lost and found and we do care about our travelers, we want to get these items back to them and we're doing the best that we can to do that," she said.
