Multiple chances for strong to severe storms this weekend
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Bars and restaurants are doing everything they can to stay in business amid new restrictions in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
A Milwaukee diner has completely changed its business model to help people by turning into a grocery store.
Don's Diner and Cocktails is now Don's Grocery and Liquor.
Tables and chairs along with the restaurant supplies were taken out, and shelves were installed and filled with food, drink and supplies.
"It was one of those ideas we came about as we have -- we have a means to supply things that you know, are running limited or are in demand," said co-owner Sean Wille.
Don's Diner is near 1st and Washington in Milwaukee.
They will try to stay open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily and have the shelves stocked as well as possible.
