MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A fiery crowd greeted local leaders today outside the federal courthouse in downtown Milwaukee.
"You know what Gwen, I call them all the time, I call you all the time! Let's get something done," said one of the rally members to Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Moore.
"Yes, call them and keep calling them!" Moore said.
Organizers say they hosted today's rally to combat misinformation about Ukraine and President Zelenskyy, after Friday's meeting with President Trump went awry.
Supporters say they're worried for the future if the US doesn't continue helping the war-torn country.
"My family emigrated to the United States to escape Soviet, brutal communism. My parents were prisoners in World War II," said Jan Van Schaik, rally attendee. "But I'm also concerned, the maintaining of order of democracy and freedom in the world."
The rally was put on by Wisconsin Ukranian, a nonprofit dedicated to spreading Ukrainian culture and raising money for Ukraine.
