Driver in critical condition after reckless driving pursuit

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A reckless driving incident has left one man in critical condition on Thursday morning, May 12.

Police say the reckless driver was on W. Puetz Road during the pursuit.

Franklin Police Department used stop sticks on the vehicle, but the driver continued the pursuit with deflated tires.

He ended up in Racine County on Highway 45 in the village of Yorkville, where the pursuit came to an end.

Police were able to locate the car off of the roadway. The driver of the vehicle needed medical attention and was given life-saving measures by officers until medical professionals arrived on scene.

Police say the driver was then taken to a hospital and he remains in critical condition.

No officers were injured in this incident.
