Elmbrook Humane Society to offer Halloween adoption promotion

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS) is offering a special adoption promotion just in time for Halloween.

For one week, Oct. 24-31, EBHS says they will waive adoption fees for certain animals whose stay at the shelter has been longer than expected.

The humane society says the online bio for animals whose adoption fees have been waived will be marked with "Adoption Promo."

“This is a fantastic opportunity to enrich your life through adoption,” said Heather Gehrke, executive director at Elmbrook Humane Society. “Through this adoption promotion, you have an opportunity to forgo the adoption fee and instead, use that money to cover the cost of other needs, such as training, care and supplies, while helping an animal whose stay with us has been longer than it should be.”

Anyone considering adopting a furry friend is encouraged to visit www.ebhs.org to see all the available animals.

If you see an animal you're interested in adopting, fill out an online application and a member of EBHS will reach out to schedule a time to come and meet them.
