Emaciated dog recovering after being left behind by owners in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A starving dog that was left behind by his owners in Fond du Lac is on the road to recovery.
The Fond du Lac Humane Society posted an update Monday about "Achilles", who was found dehydrated and emaciated last week. They say he's gained four pounds, which allows the veterinarian to treat him with more medication.
Achilles will get his first bath Monday, and he's slowly been eating more food.
The Humane Society says his ear infections can now be treated, and he'll eventually have surgery to remove a benign tumor in his ear.
They say Achilles still has a long road ahead, but he's moving forward.
