MEQUON, Wis. (CBS 58) — Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Michigan Governor Whitmer have continued to drive forward the "Blue Wall Bus Tour."

On Wednesday, Oct. 16, they made their last stop in Mequon.

The governors and other elected state leaders finished their bus tour across Wisconsin Wednesday morning.

They rallied supporters by talking about how the Harris campaign plans to lower costs, secure jobs, and protect Wisconsinites rights.

U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin says the biggest concern for Democrats is getting everyone out to vote.

"Everybody needs to know the power of their voice and the power of their vote whether they are in a rural area, a suburban area, or an urban area everybody's vote matters," said Senator Baldwin.

With the election being 19 days away and the most recent Marquette Law School Poll putting this election in a dead heat, Governor Gretchen Whitmer says events like these are more important than ever to keep the momentum going into election day.

"It's going to be a close race its going to come down to a handful of states, Wisconsin is one of them, Michigan is one of them and Pennsylvania is as well," said Governor Whitmer.

It will be a close race, according to the most recent Marquette Law School Poll, Vice President Kamala Harris and Former President Donald Trump are in a virtual tie.

Harris has 48% support, while Trump has 47%.

Five percent of those polled say they would vote for someone else or not vote for president.

Governor Evers says they are working on that 5%.

"We feel confident for a victory, but we are not counting on it. We are making sure making sure we are working as hard as possible to get people out to vote," said Governor Evers.

Wisconsin entrepreneur, Eric Hovde, made a stop in Oak Creek on Wednesday. He says he's working on getting the undecided voter on his side.

"By talking to them every day that's why I'm here at this wonderful company talking to these employees so I'm out there working morning to night talking to people, shaking hands," said Hovde.

Former President Barack Obama is now hitting the campaign trail for Harris, he will be in Madison on Tuesday, Oct. 22, alongside vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.
