The end of November also brought an end to meteorological fall. The statistical season that includes the months of September, October and November was overall very mild. The average temperature over the three months was 56.9 degrees which is the third warmest on record!
November was the only above average fall month with precipitation. Both September and October were over an inch below-average so the entire season ended over 2" below average with over 6" of precipitation, mostly rainfall, and goes down as the 56th driest meteorological fall on record. And well, well below last year's number.
Fall doesn't average much snowfall with no snow usually in September, only a few tenths in October and 2.5" in November. This year all of our snow fell during November with 3.1" during the month, just above the seasonal average.
