Tire pressure in winter months
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The coronavirus pandemic has hit families and farmers especially hard over the last three months.
We stopped at an event Wednesday that helps both families and farmers.
Boxes filled with fresh produce were handed out at two Milwaukee locations.
The south side location was at South Division High School.
The produce was provided through a federal program called "Farm to Food Bank," a program with a double benefit.
"It supports local farmers by purchasing product from the farms to be able to help them through this really tough time," said Scott Marshall of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. "And then the food is distributed through food banks to the hungry."
It's a partnership between the US Department of Agriculture and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
MPS helped identify areas where the food is most needed.
