Feeling more like summer despite clear signs of fall
What an incredibly warm fall day across southeast Wisconsin today with highs warming into the upper 70s to low 80s.
Highs will make a run at the low 80s once again on Monday thanks to sustained southwest winds and mostly sunny skies. Skies will be filtered by thin cloud cover from time to time on Monday.
Temps will be cooler Tuesday, but still a solid ten degrees above average with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. More clouds than sun are expected Tuesday with a small chance of a shower in the afternoon. Dry air will prevent most of the shower activity from reaching the ground.
A cold front will then push through the region early Wednesday morning, dropping highs back into the low to mid 60s for the rest of the week.
Despite the warmer than normal temperatures, there are signs that's we're firmly in the fall season. Besides the peaking fall colors, tonight is also our last night with a sunset in the 6pm hour until early March. Two weeks from today is the end of Daylight Saving Time, and by then our sunset will occur at 4:40pm.
