HALES CORNERS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Green Alert has been issued for a missing veteran at risk out of Hales Corners. 

Police say 49-year-old Thomas Balgord was last seen leaving his home around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, after stating that he was going to stay at a hotel. Officials say a messaged received by a friend from Thomas on Friday, Sept. 4, resulted in serious concern for his safety. He has not been heard from since.

Thomas is described as a white male, 5'8", 225 pounds, with blue eyes, brown hair, and tattoos on both arms: a tattoo on his right arm says, "Heart Breaker Life Taker," according to police, and a tattoo on his left arm has a skull and "US Infantry '95-'96." Thomas is also said to have a dragon tattoo on his left shoulder and chest. 

Officials say Thomas was driving a red 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee with military license plates and the Wisconsin license plate G04RMY.
