Few storms possible Friday evening with another chance on Father's Day
The holiday weekend is here for Juneteenth on Friday and Father's Day on Sunday. Friday and Saturday will have lots of dry time but rain chances on Sunday are in question. There's not much of a rain chance during the day Friday but after 6 PM some showers and storms will be possible. The coverage looks more widespread than it was Thursday when we had isolated evening showers.
After the chance for some rain Friday evening we should be dry and sunny most of Saturday. Sunday's rain chances for Father's Day are still a bit uncertain. Counties south of I-94 have the best chance for rain but it's not as likely in northern counties. Stay tuned for any changes there.
When it comes to temperatures, Friday and Saturday will be decently close to average with highs in the mid 70s. Then we drop with a lake breeze and cold front into the upper 60s for Father's Day and the start of next week. Highs don't get much past 70 most of next week.
Summer also officially begins this weekend. The summer solstice is on Sunday at 3:24 in the morning. Total daylight is at 15 hours and 22 minutes for the start of the new season.
