MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Legendary rapper Flavor Flav sang the national anthem at Fiserv Forum on Sunday and went viral after putting his special... um... flavor, in the song.
Some gave him rave reviews, but Flav himself took to social media to respond to some of the criticism of his performance.
The anthem was a long time bucket list item,,, that was fun!

I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me. I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But a sure failure is if you stop trying.
Love it or hate it, it is unlikely that Flav's performance will live in infamy like a few other anthem renditions.
Roseanne Barr's national anthem before a San Diego Padres game angered the entire country, Fergie's take on the song at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game was met with mostly laughter. But the most infamous anthem came in January of 1993. Track and field legend Carl Lewis botched the Star-Spangled Banner before a Chicago Bulls game 30 years ago.
CBS 58's Bill Walsh looks at this "hall of shame," and speaks with local anthem singer Ben Tajnai about how he gets over being nervous at a performance.
