MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Stan's Fit for Your Feet is hosting its annual Share-a-Pair shoe and sock drive to assist people in-need both locally and around the world.
Marketing Director Megan Sajdak joined us on Monday, Jan. 29 to discuss the drive's aim to address the significant need for footwear in the Milwaukee area and beyond. Donations of new or gently used shoes, sneakers, boots and new socks for all ages are welcome.
The initiative, which began 18 years ago, has amassed over 350,000 pairs of shoes thus far, according to Stan's.
The drive takes place from Feb. 1 to Feb. 29 at various Stan's locations, with drop-off times on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donated items will benefit local organizations such as the Milwaukee Rescue Mission / Joy House, Sojourner Family Peace Center, Repairers of the Breach and Father Gene’s HELP Center in West Allis.
Remaining shoes will be distributed worldwide through Soles4Souls.
