Former Green Bay Police Officer to receive $200,000 after being harassed by co-workers

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - A former Green Bay Police Officer will be receiving 200-thousand dollars after being harassed by her fellow co-workers.

This comes after an internal investigation showed that bullying was happening within the department's overnight shift.

Stephanie Dantoin, who is no longer with the Green Bay Police Department, will also get health insurance coverage for the next year along with a letter of recommendation from Chief Andrew Smith.

Chief Smith told Local Five her settlement is the largest he's aware of in the city's history.

As for discipline at the department, a Lieutenant and an officer resigned when the investigation started, with a half-dozen other officers receiving penalties.

Chief Smith says he wants the entire settlement to come from the Police Department's budget.

Those two vacancies will have to wait until next year to be filled.

Chief Smith says one more officer is awaiting termination from the police and fire commission.
