MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Franklin High School senior has been nominated for the Maxwell Football Club Girls National Flag Football Player of the Year award.
The Green Bay Packers nominated Kaylee Knaak for the award Tuesday, Dec. 9. All 32 NFL clubs chose a female high school flag football player to represent their team for consideration. The award recognizes outstanding on-field performance, academic achievement and community service.
Knaak is team captain of Franklin High School's girls flag football team, a program she helped found. During the Sabers' inaugural season, she led the team in tackles and pass breakups. She maintains a 4.1 GPA and is involved in volunteer work that benefits her school and community.
Four finalists from both the NFC and AFC will be chosen later this month. The winner will be announced in January and honored at the 89th Maxwell Awards Gala on March 13, 2026, in Atlanta.
