Friday starts foggy and ends with a round of rain

NOW: Friday starts foggy and ends with a round of rain
NEXT:

The fog is thick Friday morning. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for all of southeast Wisconsin until 10 AM Friday morning. At times visibility is down to just a hundred feet or less. Take it slow on the roads and watch the neighborhood streets around schools. The fog has shown some signs of improving and should be mostly gone by late Friday morning.

Here is a look at visibility that will update with time:

After the fog clears out the rest of Friday looks nice with highs in the mid 70s under a mix of sun and clouds. But after midnight Friday night we see rain chances return with showers and storms likely Friday night into Saturday morning.

Some of the rain could be heavy at times with downpours and thunderstorms possible. Flooding rains are not expected but a soaking 0.25-0.75" of rain is possible locally, although some could see less and others could see more. South central Wisconsin may get over an inch in some areas.

The rain likely lingers through at least part of Saturday morning then dries out the rest of Saturday with Sunday staying dry. Temperatures over the weekend hang out in the middle to upper 70s. Our streak of below average highs that stretches back almost three weeks likely comes to an end this weekend.
