A sentinel is a soldier or guard whose job is to keep watch. It's also the name of a relatively new device that helps protect the brain during a minimally invasive heart procedure. The Sentinel device is now being utilized at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin for cardiac patients.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Jacquelyn Abad met a cancer and heart patient who’s among the first in Wisconsin to benefit from the device.
