MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--You knew we had to get some rather hot and humid weather at some point in July. The time is coming soon. In fact, by Wednesday we'll see highs in the 90s. The heat indices will approach 100 degrees on Thursday.
The rain we had on Saturday was welcomed although it happened on a busy weekend. Sunday promises to be drier, but a stray storm can't be ruled out either. Monday and Tuesday look fairly dry and rather seasonable with highs in the low to mid 80s. Then the heat dome takes over for most of the rest of the week.
Rainfall the next few days...
But the heat and humidity will be the real talker by Wednesday...
I do see some relief from all the heat into the weekend, but it comes with scattered showers and storms as well. We'll have a better idea of timing as we get closer to those days. Stay tuned. And in the meantime, make sure your A/C is working and stay hydrated this week.
By the way, great photos of storms clouds on Saturday sent to us by viewers. The first is a cool rain shaft (left part of the picture). The other is a shelf cloud ahead of a storm. We want to see your stormy photos or any other one you want to share. Please sent to [email protected] or via the CBS 58 mobile weather app.
