Goodwill hosts vaccine clinic on Milwaukee's northwest side with Pfizer vaccine offered

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A partnership between the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Wisconsin Army National Guard, and Goodwill aims to get more people vaccinated.

Tuesday, June 29, they hosted a vaccine clinic at Goodwill's James O. Wright Center on Milwaukee's northwest side.

One organizer said Goodwill is leading by example and offering their employees the vaccine.

"It's been more difficult than it was early on in the vaccination process but there is still interest in getting the vaccine," said Capt. Dave Eschen, medical officer with the Wisconsin Army National Guard.

No appointments were necessary Tuesday. Anyone at Goodwill and in the community could come by for a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

A second clinic will be held on Tuesday, July 20 for people to get their second dose.
