Graves at Milwaukee's Wood National Cemetery may not get wreaths
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Graves at Milwaukee's Wood National Cemetery may not receive wreaths this year, according to David Bolser, the CEO/founder of Senior Veterans, Inc. -- a veterans charity promoting the wreath campaign in Wisconsin and several other states.
According to a news release, there are over 37,000 graves at Wood National Cemetery and so far less than 700 wreaths have been donated.
Donations must be received by midnight Dec. 1 to guarantee wreath placement this year as part of National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 18.
"It is heartbreaking, especially for families, to see gravestones without wreaths on Christmas morning," said Bolser.
Each wreath costs $15. If you'd like to purchase a wreath to donate, CLICK HERE.
Volunteers will place them on the gravestones Dec. 18.
