MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Museum’s Streets of Old Milwaukee is once again decorated for Halloween, with displays reflecting turn-of-the-20th-century traditions.
The festive October additions, which opened Wednesday, Oct. 1, feature historically accurate decorations such as crepe paper streamers, life-size cornstalks and handmade party hats, according to MPM.
At Granny’s House, visitors can see examples of home-crafted décor. The Candy Shop includes candied apples and candy corn, while the Toy Store highlights replica orange-and-black children’s rattles. Vintage postcards and posters from the museum’s collection are on view in the Print Shop.
New this year are 100 crow figures placed throughout the exhibit, along with hidden black cats, bats and a pair of trick-or-treaters.
Seeing the Halloween fun is included with general admission and will remain on view through Sunday, Nov. 2.
