Former boyfriend sentenced to 40 years for homicide of mother, MPS teacher
Milwaukee County Sheriff\'s Office/family MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man was sentenced Tuesday, May 12, in the homicide of 51-year-old Latonia Ford.
Kenny Knight pleaded guilty to first degree reckless homicide this past March.
He was sentenced Tuesday to 40 years in prison followed by 20 years of extended supervision.
According to the criminal complaint, Knight walked into Milwaukee Police Department District 4 in July of 2024 and stated, "Morning boss. I am here to turn myself in, I just shot my girlfriend."
Loved ones said Ford was a mother and Milwaukee Public Schools teacher who had recently ended things with Knight after dating for about eight years.
According to court records, Knight shot Ford at least 22 times.
