MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Local contenders will gather with their own unique takes on the old fashioned, with the public being given an opportunity to vote on their favorites to crown winners.
Jan Bruder, event operations coordinator with Shepherd Express, joined us Wednesday, Sept. 28 to discuss the event that will celebrate this local favorite.
Old Fashioned Fest is being presented by Shepherd Express set to take place on Friday, Sept. 30 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Turner Hall Ballroom. Guests who are 21 and older can attend to sample the famous old fashioned of venues such as Patti's Power Plant, Boone & Crockett, Clementine's, The Pharmacy Bar and more.
Voters will crown a winner for the best brandy old fashioned, best bourbon old fashioned and an overall winner.
Live music from the North Coast Jazz Quartet will be a part of the festivities alongside dance performances from Fed Astaire Dance Studio.
Tickets cost $34 in advance or $42 at the door. VIP tickets, offering earlier entry and other perks, are $47 in advance and $55 at the door. Designated drivers are also welcome to join the party for only $10.
More information can be found on the event's webpage.
