MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Downtown Milwaukee will be lit up with over 500,000 lights, as well as dozens of animated displays, all aimed at helping people in the city become enveloped in the holiday spirit.
That's the mission of the 24th annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival.
Rebecca Sue Button, director of marketing, events and social media for Milwaukee Downtown Business Improvement District #21 joined us on Wednesday, Nov. 9 to share more on what to expect at the holiday extravaganza.
The festival will take place from Nov. 17 until the start of the new year. A switch-flipping ceremony will take place on the first evening at 6:30 p.m. in Pere Marquette Park, celebrated by a celebration featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus, fireworks, free cocoa and more.
More information can be found by visiting the event's website online.
