Police pursuit ends in rollover crash near Custer and Sherman, 2 seriously injured

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A vehicle rolled multiple times near Sherman and Custer late Wednesday, March 25 after the driver fled from Milwaukee police, according to MPD.

Officers say they tried to stop the vehicle near 54th and Mill around 10:57 p.m. after seeing it traveling at a high rate of speed and driving recklessly. The driver reportedly refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.

The vehicle lost control and struck a curb before rolling.

Two passengers, a 23-year-old and a 26-year-old, sustained serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital. The 35-year-old driver was taken into custody after being medically cleared.

Police also mentioned that illegal drugs were found in the vehicle.
