Human remains found at Maryland Avenue Montessori School

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police confirm that human remains were found at Maryland Avenue Montessori School in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Oct. 2. 

According to the school, human remains were found on the property during the construction of their Greenhouse crews. They said they believe it is related to the historic nature of the building and is not related to any recent incident. They also stated that ancient bones have been found in past construction projects in 1950 and 2021. 

The discovery is under investigation by MPD, and the school says they will be working with the Milwaukee Historical Society like they did in their past findings, to provide context and document the situation.
