MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hundreds of local kids gathered to decorate trees at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
The Trim-A-Tree project brings in more than 60 youth groups to create ornaments and decorate around 70 trees.
This year, kids made ornaments based on different themes in the zoo's Wild Lights Display.
"It's the best time to be here at the zoo, you walk in you can smell the pine, you get to see all the different ideas and the creativity that all these kids have had," said Jenn Trissel, special events coordinator with the Zoological Society.
You can see the trees starting this Saturday. They're on display at the US Bank gathering place until the end of December.
