MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hunger Task Force launched a new, upgraded mobile market Monday, Oct. 5, aimed at reaching people living in food deserts across Milwaukee County.
The market has been evolving over the past decade to meet community needs and now makes two stops a day, offering groceries at 25% off in-store prices.
"A lot of people in our community have access challenges with transportation, living in parts of town where grocery stores have left," said Hunger Task Force's CEO Matt King. "Bringing healthy foods at an affordable price, particularly with the high costs of living right now, is increasingly an important part of our mission."
The schedule of mobile market stops is available by clicking here.
