Items taken from man's Beloit hotel room while he was sleeping, police looking for suspect

BELOIT, Wis. (CBS 58) – Beloit Police are asking for help to identify the person responsible for stealing several items from a man’s hotel room while he was asleep.

According to the Beloit Police Department, the burglary happened Sunday at the Rodeway Inn on Milwaukee Road. Investigators say the occupant thought his door was secure, but the door hadn’t closed all the way.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect. They are also reminding those staying in hotel or motel rooms to check that your door is closed and to use the extra locks on the doors.
