MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Harley-Davidson is celebrating its 121st year with its annual Homecoming Festival this weekend.

From July 25 to 28, thousands of motorcyclists will be in the city for the festival that features concerts, tours and more.

"From sea to shining sea, it's the best party there is," Cudahy resident Karen Athey said.

The event allows Harley-Davidson enthusiasts to connect and enjoy their passion for bikes together.

"We all get together on the same page. We all have the comradery that Harley brings forth," Minnesota resident Jim Labarre said.

There will be activities happening at the Harley-Davidson Museum, the company headquarters, and their Powertrain Operations facility. Jelly Roll, HARDY, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to headline the ticketed shows at Veterans Park.

"Milwaukee as a community opens up its arms to our riders, it's incredible and we hear that," Harley-Davidson VP-Global Ambassador Bill Davidson said. "A lot of them are coming back because of that and the culture, the restaurants, the bars, the lakefront."

People come from around the world for the annual event and this year, it is a celebration of Willie Davidson, the man behind the styling of the bikes. His son, Bill Davidson, tells CBS 58 it is touching to have his father's legacy recognized.

"I thought, wow, this is really a special occasion, that dad is being honored for his career as an artist, as a designer, as a leader and truly a legend. It's very, very exciting for us," Davidson said.

"That is so amazing and so powerful to know that we have people from all walks of life coming from all over the world and that they're coming here to celebrate Harley-Davidson, to celebrate Willie, and to be amongst friends and family."
