MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In one of the most jaw-dropping moments after the Brewers got swept in LA, Sports Director Lance Allan asked Jacob Misirowoski in the clubhouse what he learned from his rookie season.
He said that he could pitch at this level. In year two, his confidence is way better.
"You know, some guys get out to a little rocky start and all of the sudden they're in AAA, just like, you know, lack of better words, (expletive) themselves," Jacob Misiorowski says. "They're like, oh my gosh, I can't do this. And then, you know, you come back up, you have one good outing and you're like, oh, there it is."
"When did you get that confidence, did you feel like, last year? When did you say, like, I belong here?" Allan asked.
"I think I got it pretty quick," Misiorowski says. "But you know, it still needed to grow a little bit."
Does he view himself as a superstar now?
"I mean, no. No. Not even close," Misiorowski says.
"It's cool that my name or hat gets thrown in the ring for that stuff, but no, not even close. I mean, Shohei. Freeman. You know, Freddy. The guys like that, that are just way above me."
The Miz also said the Brewers wanted him to gain some weight in the offseason. He certainly did that. Didn't want to give exact details but definitely feels better.
