Jazz in the Park postpones opening day until June 4 due to coronavirus outbreak

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's summer music series Jazz in the Park announced Thursday that opening day will be postponed until June 4, due to coronavirus concerns.

The nonprofit plans to work with the city and County Parks Department to extend the series another week, closing on September 3.

In a statement, East Town Executive Director Emily McElwee said that plans for Bastille Days are still moving ahead.

In the meantime, Jazz in the Park suggests listening to their their playlist on Spotify with some of their favorite performers and albums from over the years.
