Jelly Roll announces Milwaukee stop on 'Backroad Baptism Tour'

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Multi-genre artist Jelly Roll has announced that his "Backroad Baptism Tour" will make a stop in Milwaukee on Aug. 18 at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

The tour comes on the heels of Jelly Roll's single "Son of a Sinner" which spent a stretch on Billboard's Emerging Artist Chart for 25 consecutive weeks, ultimately breaking the record for most weeks spent atop the chart.

Jelly Roll has independently amassed over 4 billion career streams, has sold-out venues across the US and made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2022. His 2020 single "Save Me" has earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America and has more than 155 million views on YouTube.

Produced by Live Nation, the arena tour is set to feature stops in 44 cities. Jelly Roll will be supported in Milwaukee by special guests Yelawolf and Struggle Jennings.

In an effort to provide the community with access to a variety of live entertainment during that same weekend, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., FPC Live, and Irish Fest have joined forces to celebrate Milwaukee Irish Fest, taking place Aug.17-20 at Henry Maier Festival Park.

Fans who purchase tickets to Jelly Roll's Milwaukee show will receive free admission to Irish Fest on the day of the show, Saturday, Aug. 18.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com or in-person at American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
