KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 20-year-old Kenosha man is dead after crashing his moped into a box truck Tuesday, June 16.
CBS 58
It happened around 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of 60th St. and 13th Ave. next to the Division of Community Corrections building.
According to Kenosha police, investigators determined the man was riding a non-street-legal minibike westbound on 60th St. along with a white box truck. When the truck tried to turn northbound onto 13th Ave., police say the man hit the truck.
The Kenosha Police Department (KPD) and Kenosha County's Major Crash Assistance Team responded to the scene.
The man on the minibike was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
KPD says the truck driver stayed on the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
