Kettle Moraine wins second ever girls basketball state title

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) - Kettle Moraine girls basketball headed up to Green Bay and returned with a Gold Ball.

The Lasers took down Appleton East 69-53 in the Division 1 Girls State Championship game.

Arizona State commit junior Grace Grocholski scored 34 points and added 9 rebounds to lead Kettle Moraine.

Marquette recruit senior Emily La Chapell scored 19 points with 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead Appleton East.

This was Kettle Moraine's seventh overall trip to state and first since 2004. They also won the Division 1 state title in 1999.
