MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton visited a Milwaukee school Monday to help local students prepare for winter.
Middleton, the Bucks, and United Healthcare partnered up to donate more than 300 winter coats and new hygiene lockers. Those lockers were filled up with clothing, deodorant, body wipes, toothpaste and mouthwash. The goal: making sure every student has the winter and health resources they need at school and at home.
"Giving out coats again, been doing this for many years," Middleton said. "It means a lot to be here, giving out coats, super thankful for United Healthcare for helping out, and hopefully the kids enjoy the coats."
Organizers say access to a winter coat and hygiene products can make a significant difference in a student's life, even helping them focus better during class.
