GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Packers fan's dust-up with Houston Texans runningback Joe Mixon did not result in an ejection from Sunday's game, just a warning.

In the second quarter, after Mixon ran into the endzone for one of his two touchdowns of the game and looked headed for the stands to take a "Lambeau Leap" - the iconic celebration pioneered by Packers safety LeRoy Butler - that attempted leap was thwarted by a Packers fan.

A man wearing Packers-colored overalls can be seen pushing Mixon back down to the field by his facemask. The altercation went viral on social media, with some saying the fan went too far, and others wanting to buy that man a beer.

While some wondered if the exchange got the fan ejected, Packers officials on Monday set the record straight. Katie Hermsen, Packers public affairs manager, told CBS 58 in a statement that the fan did have to leave his seat, but was allowed to return.

"Regarding the fan who was involved in the attempted Lambeau Leap, video of the incident was reviewed and determined to be inconclusive. Therefore, this person was verbally warned about behavior and allowed back to their seat."

Hermsen said a separate incident in the stands nearby may have caused confusion.

"There were actually two separate incidents involving fans that happened almost simultaneously in the same section, which may have caused some confusion as to the actions taken by those investigating each incident. At the time of the attempted Lambeau Leap that you asked about, there was an additional nearby incident with another fan. That fan ended up being ejected."

"Overalls dude," as he's been labeled on social media, had a pretty eventful Sunday. He was on the receiving end of a post-game Lambeau Leap, after Packers kicker Brandon McManus hit the game-winning kick at the end of regulation.
