'Life moves pretty fast': Milwaukee screening of Ferris Bueller's Day Off to feature Emmy-nominated Alan Ruck

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "The question isn’t, ‘What are we going to do?' The question is, ‘What aren’t we going to do?’"

This iconic line from the 1986 hit teen comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off will be among the quotes celebrated by the crowd at Milwaukee's Pabst Theater as it hosts a special screening of the film on Sunday, May 5, 2024, featuring star Alan Ruck.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch the classic movie on the big screen, followed by a question-and-answer session with Ruck.

Ruck, known to many for his portrayal of Cameron Frye in the famed John Hughes film, has since garnered critical acclaim for other roles. He recently earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in HBO's "Succession," a role for which he also won a Screen Actors Guild award.

The journey to Ruck's breakthrough role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off began with director John Hughes spotting his talent. Hughes was reportedly captivated by Ruck's performance in Neil Simon's "Biloxi Blues" on Broadway, leading to his casting alongside Matthew Broderick, who played the titular role as Ferris Bueller.

Tickets are currently available. The doors will open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. More information can be found by clicking here.
