'Lightfield' sculptures completed and taken to Cathedral Square for opening night
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lightfield by HYBYCOZO debuted at Burning Man in 2013, and now, after traveling to cities around the world, it's here in Milwaukee.
For the next four months, 24 of the light-emitting sculptures will take over Cathedral Square.
Everyone is invited to go check out the free exhibit. When the sun goes down, the changing colors emit a shadow of geometric shapes.
Organizers with Milwaukee Downtown BID 21 and the Lightfield artists are both hoping people will come take photos and enjoy the art. There's also a curriculum focused around the sculptures, so schools can learn about the math, engineering and science that goes into them.
Thursday, Jan. 19 and Friday, Jan 20 there will be opening night festivities to welcome the new art exhibit-- there will be DJs, an ice bar, s'mores and much more at Cathedral Square.
