MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- May is recognized as the Month of the Military Caregiver in the U.S., and one local veteran who helps provide care is discussing his path from active duty to helping his community.
Van Evans, owner of Seniors Helping Seniors Waukesha, marked Month of the Military Caregiver by joining us on Wednesday, May 22 to discuss his transition from being an Army medic to assisting local seniors and veterans.
Evans, who also spent 11 years in the chronic pain device industry, talked about the organization’s role in providing non-medical assistance to seniors, enhancing their quality of life. He also chatted about his personal fulfillment when giving back to fellow veterans.
